Ok, see, it's a very ambiguous photo. It could be that the crackly heart has risen out of the crackly water thing. Or that the heart is disintegrating into the surrounding vista.
Heh.. I chose it for its ambiguity - didn't want something that screamed heartbreak. Something ambiguous, something open to interpretation. Either one of your interpretations could work.
